My Valentine's Day =)

Valentine's Day this year was great! I actually never really had one that was worth putting in the books. Sure I got a Teddy Bear here and some roses there but a special day that I felt was all about me....ummmm never.

My best friend and I started this little Valentine's Day tradition when we were like 18. We spent it together every year, and had a ball. *giggling* I just thought about when we had a theme one year to see who wore the best outfit. Of course I was the winner (love you Sash). Anyway we held on to that tradition every year.

Last year was different though. Sadly, my cousin was killed by her husband on Valentine's Day, as you can see no one was in the mood for any kind of celebration. I'm happy to say that justice has been served. It won't bring her back, but he will be spending the rest of his life in jail.

I wanna switch gears though. My reasoning for this post is really because I felt like a princess all weekend =) Early Saturday morning, I got a trip to the hair salon paid for by my Valentine. Afterwards, I got a pair of killer boots. Boots instead of flowers and candy? Yep! Anyone who knows me understands I LOVE shoes and do NOT like flowers. We took a trip to another store and got a few more things. He teased me saying that the word "no" was definitely not in his vocabulary that day, and that I'm too spoiled lol. My night ended with dinner being cooked for me. It was delicious by the way =) That was Saturday.

Monday (Valentine's Day) was special too. To bad my balloon flew away though *tears* I still got a cute card and a trip to The Cheesecake Factory just because I've been wanting Cheesecake and made it known by being a brat LOL.

Anyway dolls, I hope everyone had a beautiful Valentine's Day. Even if you're single I'm sure that you are loved by many! It's not about the gifts, it's about the love even if it's just self love.
